Our Story

Bay Private Capital was formed in 2013 and is a family owned private money lender headquartered in Maryland.   BPC has one mission: to help real estate investors realize their dreams of renovating homes to either sell for profit or to build a rental portfolio. 

After decades of experience in residential real estate and mortgage, Jack, Ben, and Mark saw the need for private capital in the local DMV real estate market.  It would be hard to find a team with more experience in local real estate.  Collectively, the guys have purchased and sold hundreds of homes, built hundreds of new construction homes, renovated hundreds of homes, managed real estate teams, and originated thousands of residential mortgages.   They've seen it all and now strive to use their experience helping responsible real estate entrepreneurs grow their own business.

Our Product
 

  • We offer short term financing for up to 12 months for the purpose of purchasing and renovating residential real estate

  • Application review and approval within 24 hours

  • Loan amounts offered between $50,000 and $1,000,000​.  Other amounts considered on a case by case basis

  • Most loans are 100% financing for the acquisition and additional rehab funds for the renovation

  • Can fund the project as quickly as 3 to 5 days from application.  Some circumstances allow for funding in 1-2 days. 

  • Appraisals are done in-house in less than a day​

  • Renovation draws disbursed in less than a day

  • Most of Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia.  

  • ​Other areas and states can be discussed.  Just ask!

  • We've funded projects as far north as Frederick, MD and Bel Air, MD, as far east as Ocean City, MD, as far west as Loudoun, VA, and as far south as St. Mary's County, MD.  We'll look at almost any potential project.

  • Some cities and towns include, Essex, Dundalk, Catonsville, Halethorpe, Glen Burnie, Annapolis, Edgewater, Stevensville, Bowie, Crofton, Suitland, District Heights, Laurel, Hyattsville, Clinton, North Beach, Owings, Prince Frederick, Lusby, California, Waldorf, and LaPlata.
